Loggerhead Ventures is an equity fund, focusing on mission driven deep-tech startups established in regional innovation ecosystems in Greece, capitalizing upon the opportunities for green and digital transformation of the Greek economy.
Loggerhead Ventures is managing a €10 million fund for 10-15 early-stage companies in disruptive technological fields enabling a strong positive environmental impact.
About Us
The team has already access to hundreds of early-stage companies on the highlighted technologies and sectors, through our involvement in the pan-European innovation ecosystem (long term experience in acceleration programs, innovation grants and cascade funding schemes for startups).
An existing pipeline of promising startups with robust products, business models and scale-up potential have been evaluated and confirm the existence of a critical mass of potential investments.
The network of the management team and domain experts bring an unprecedented deal flow and knowledge to achieve Loggerhead Ventures goals.

Grigoris Chatzikostas
General Parnter
Grigoris Chatzikostas is an expert in financing innovation for digital transformation and sustainability.
He is managing multi-national and cross-sectoral consortia, developing proposals for EU funding and coordinating large-scale projects that promote tech-enabled entrepreneurshipin ICT, agrifood and environment.
In the past 18 years he has managed projects exceeding the total value of 120 mEUR.
He has delivered programs supporting more than 150startups and SMEs with pre-seed funding and business support services.
Grigoris holds a MSc in Finance from University of Essex, UK
Evangelos Kosmidis

Dr. Evangelos Kosmidis is an active entrepreneur and a High-Level Expert consultant in environmental ICT and decision support systems in networking environments.
He has participated in the development and management of many strategic environmental projects (in the Public and Private Sector) for ministries, research organizations andprivate companies (Ministry of Environment, European Commission).
He is a serial entrepreneur having successfully exited from 3 different technology and consulting startups in the last 5years.
He holds a Physics Bachelor from AUTH, MSc from UCLA in Atmospheric Sciences, PhD in Atmospheric Physics and Business Excellence Certificate from the University ofBerkeley CA.
He is a certified future scientist.
Vasilis Andreou

Vasilis Andreou is an active member on financial and capital markets for 23 years and has obtained extensive knowledge as an Asset/Portfolio Manager.
He has successfully created and maintained relationships with institutional and private investors but most importantly he has the experience of the full management cycle ofprivate equity investments: fundraising, reporting, corporate deals and exits through his participation as a project manager and fund raiser for Global Private Equity, London UK.
Vasilis holds a MScin Finance and Banking from University of Sheffield, UK.

Panayiotis Hassapis

Panayiotis Hassapis is a Financial Advisor and BoD member in several companies and Executive Vice President of SEVE Greek Exporters Association.
He is an alumni of American College of Thessaloniki Anatolia. He studied Economics and Business Administration in France (Rouen & Paris) and holds post graduate degrees in Accounting & Management and Money, Banking & Finance (Southampton University & Birmingham University).
He worked as CFO at MEVGAL SA, CFO & Legal Representative at ZANAE SA and as Treasurer at PYRAMIS METALLURGY SA following his short occupation in the banking sector.
He has been teaching Financial Management & Banking at CITY COLLEGE (Sheffield University affiliated) in Thessaloniki.
George Chrysostomidis
Project Manager / Analyst
A very experienced manager. He works closely with cross-functional teams towards designing and implementing national and regional strategies and campaigns, to achieve product-market fit and ensure strategic business goals and financial objectives.He has a deep knowledge of marketing principles, which along with his experience allow him to design tailored product portfolios in line with the evolving landscape of multiple products and client needs.

He has Over 23 years of working experience in Research & Innovation, EU funds, capacity building projects in 6+ countries (Greece, Ireland, Turkey, Bahrain, Serbia, Israel).
Successfully implemented over 70 projects of +100m € value. Specialises in Digital Transformation, Innovation Management, Risk Finance, Project Management & Quality, Intellectual Property and reengineering business processes.
Long term Mentor & Coach in over 30 companies.
Experience as Non-Executive Director in public (Listed) companies.
Engineering Degree (AUTH, GR), ICT (Leicester U, UK) and financial (LSE, UK) background.
